IUL: Growth, flexibility, legacy

Indexed Universal Life (IUL) may be one of the most misunderstood products on the insurance market. Built and maintained correctly, it can be a crucial piece as you build your financial future. IULs can create tax-free growth and distributions, living benefits that pay a stream of income if you become ill or unable to work, Long Term Care protection, and, of course, a death benefit. They offer flexibility in how much you pay each month in premium; you can increase or decrease as your needs and goals change over time, and you can build your policy to suit your exact situation. It's not the solution for every person in every scenario, but it is an extremely versatile and (in my opinion) underrated product.
